  • Routine and Structure: Establish consistent daily routines that help children feel secure while fostering independence and self-regulation.

Goals for Kingdom Academy Before and After School Program

  • Homework Support: Provide dedicated time and assistance for children to complete homework, ensuring they develop strong study habits and academic skills.
  • Social Interaction: Facilitate opportunities for socialization and teamwork through group games, projects, and collaborative activities, helping children build friendships and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative Expression: Offer a variety of enrichment activities such as arts and crafts, music, and sports to promote creativity and physical well-being.
  • Life Skills Education: Teach essential life skills, such as time management and responsibility, through age-appropriate activities that encourage independence.

Mrs. Shelly Dagner
Founder/Program Director

Mrs. Shelly Dagner is the Founder and Program Director of Kingdom Academy Childcare and Learning Center, bringing over 25 years of experience in leadership and education. As Co-Pastor of Word of God International Ministries in South Hill, VA, she focuses on renewing minds and transforming lives through the Word of God. She is dedicated to creating a nurturing environment that empowers children and families to grow in faith, knowledge, and character.

Mrs. Cierra Malkin
Teacher

Mrs. Cierra Malkin is an educator and mentor with over 26 years of experience in child care and youth development. She began her journey as an assistant children’s church teacher at 12 and later became a lead daycare teacher and administrative assistant. Cierra now teaches dance and gymnastics at Dance It Out Studios in LaCrosse, VA. She also serves as the director of specialty classes, designing unique and enriching experiences for her students. Cierra is also a youth teacher at Word of God International Ministries in South Hill, VA. Cierra holds certifications in YPAD, USAG, Tumbling Effects, and Darkness to Light, and is First Aid and CPR certified. Cierra is known for her dedication to nurturing and empowering youth.

Mrs. Brittney Dagner
Teacher

Mrs. Brittney Dagner is an enthusiastic educator at Kingdom Academy Childcare and Learning Center, bringing over 13 years of experience working with children. She has experience as a coach, mentor, and daycare provider, along with her work in the Chesterfield County Public School system. Additionally, she is a youth teacher at Word of God International Ministries in South Hill, VA. Brittney is passionate about creating a nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning in every child.

Mrs. Aliyah Valentine
Teacher

Mrs. Aliyah Valentine is a dedicated teacher at Kingdom Academy Childcare and Learning Center, bringing over 10 years of experience in early childhood education. She has worked for both public and private childcare centers and currently oversees the youth ministry at Word of God International Ministries in South Hill, VA, where she also teaches. Her commitment to supporting children’s development and well-being makes her a valued member of our team.

Chef Andrew Malkin Sr.
Personal Chef & Caterer

Chef Andrew Malkin Sr. brings over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry, specializing in American and Italian cuisine. He gained recognition by winning the prestigious Real Men Cook competition in the tri-state area, which led to the opportunity to cook for the Mayor of New Jersey. With extensive experience as a chef, caterer, and menu creator, Chef Andrew has honed his culinary skills throughout his career. As the owner of Kingz Kreationz, he crafts a variety of products, including natural tea blends, hot sauces, jerky, pickled vegetables, herbal tinctures, and more. Additionally, Chef Andrew serves at Word of God International Ministries in South Hill, VA, where he continues to share his passion for food and community.

Mrs. Corrine Walker
Licensed Practical Nurse (PRN)

Mrs. Corrine Walker is a dedicated healthcare professional and minister with over 52 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Throughout her career, she has served in various roles, including positions at Community Memorial Hospital, Dr. Sadighian’s Office, and as Charge Nurse at W.S. Hundley Annex, The Hundley Center, and Southern Dominion Health System. Corrine retired after 10 years of service with Dr. F. Marcelin, where she worked in pediatrics, providing care to infants and young adults. She is known for her compassionate, whole-person approach and commitment to quality care.

In addition to her nursing career, Corrine is a Licensed Minister of the Gospel at Word of God International Ministries in South Hill, VA. She also serves as a youth teacher and church nurse, continuing to support her church and community with unwavering dedication.
